Buffalo City Mission - Sort Clothes

Volunteers (16 and over) are needed to sort and label clothing at the Buffalo City Mission Thrift Store on Dick Road in Depew. Be part of a team of people from Lancaster Presbyterian Church that head over to the store to volunteer. The team will meet at the church at 12:35pm and take the church bus to the store to volunteer. Volunteers must be 16 or older to serve at the Buffalo City Mission Thrift Store. Sign up by contacting Becky Young or by signing up here* or by contacting the church office.

National Day Of Prayer
National Day of Prayer Evening Prayer Gathering

Pray aloud or sliently in small table groups as we gather during America's National Day of Prayer. Free prayer guides will be handed out to encourage those attending to effectively and feverently pray for government, church, military, family, education, media, and business in America.

Movie Night
Family Movie Night

A FREE family movie will be shown on a big screen in Waith Fellowship Hall. Theater-style popcorn and refreshments provided.

Set during the rise of the communist state of China, this month's movie is a biographical flim, based on the life of a women born into a wealthy Chineses family. The faith of the main character is questeioned when she refuses to deny Christ, even in the face of adversity. Call or email the office for more movie details.

Harp Concert
The Klassens in Concert

Eduard & Christine Klassen will bring an evening concert on the Paraguayan Folk Harp & Keyboard. An accomplished harp player, Eduard has been playing for over 30 years and has recently been joined by his wife, Christine, on keyboard to tour alongside each other. The Klassens welcome you to share the Good News of the gospel through music during this evening concert.

The concert is approximately 80 minutes long. A freewill offering will be taken to support their ministiry.

Women's Celebration Lunch

Honor the special women in your life at this FREE lunch. This is a time for everyone - men, women, children - to spend together focusing on the ways we have been blessed by the amazing women God has placed in our lives. Dine on a delicious lunch of hot roast beef and cold cut sandwiches, fresh fruit and green salads, homemade chicken noodle and homemade New England clam chowder soups, and a variety of desserts and beverages. So take your wife, mom, aunt, grandmother, or another special female in your life "out" for lunch - but it will cost you nothing! Lunch reservations are requested by Sunday, May 6th and can be made by signing up here*, contacting the church office, or signing up in the upper foyer or contacting the church office.

Seasoning with Love - Class #3: Appetizers

Dinner and Bible for Young Adults (DaB) Summer Kick-Off

Dinner and Bible for young adults is back for the summer session. Students returning from college and young adults living locally will be gathering each Monday throughout the summer for a time of dinner and Bible discussion, as well as times of just hanging out. Whether you're wondering who Jesus is, already trusting in Jesus, wanting to grow deeper, or questioning faith, this is the group for you! Bible discussion topics still TBA.

Summer Camp
Summer Youth Camp

All 3rd-8th grade youth are invited to participate in a week-long, overnight camp sponsored and staffed by members of Lancaster Presbyterian Church. Through our 2018 theme - Investigating the Truth - campers will dive into the Old and New Testaments to learn how Jesus is the Messiah - The Savior - who came to give eternal life to all who believe in Him and declare Him is Lord. Each day campers participate in a variety of exciting, outdoor daily activities based on their age-based program.

Registration is underway and remains open until June 1st or until space is filled. Space is limited and groups are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Financial aid and scholarship are avaiable for those in need.

Short Term Missions
Annual Youth Missions Trip

A group of middle and high school students and leaders will be heading down to Salt Lick, Kentucky to spend a week serving those in need. The group will be building, constructing and repairing portions of houses. In the evenings the teenagers will meet up with other churches also serving in the area for games, activities, daily Bible speakers, worship. Interested youth should speak to Pete Gawron, Director of Family and Youth Ministries for details or registration information.

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School

Preschoolers through youth completed 6th grade can find a spot at our annual Vacation Bible School. This FREE program runs nightly Sunday through Thursday. Come every day, some days or even one day - children are welcome at any time! Our 2018 theme will be revealed soon but is sure to include daily Bible lessons, energetic games, fun crafts, and exciting music. Mark your calendars now! Registration opens in May.

Canoe Trip
Confirmation Class Algonquin Canoe Trip

This Lancaster Presbyterian Church sponsored canoe trip is for youth entering and completing our Confirmation Class. It provides these students opportunity not only to get close to nature, as rewarding as that is, but more importantly the opportunity to get close to God, the Creator. During the trip participants will see, in a unique way, the beauty of the world He created and gave us but to explore our place and purpose as He designed us to be.
