This weekend is designed to allow participants to gain a better understanding of current mission work being done around the world and to meet some missionaries face to face! Reverend Dr. Dana Goodnough will lead a series of messages during the weekend focusing on what the Bible says about having a vision for those in need and how that relates to mission work. The weekend includes times designated for participants to browse table displays and ask missions questions about their work, as well as times of worship through music and prayer.

This is a free event and registration is not required. Participants are welcome to attend one part, a few parts, or all of the conference!

The Keynote Speaker and Supported Missionaries

Throughout the conference keynote speaker, Pastor Dana Goodnough, will present three session messages based on John 4. Session topics include: The Vision and Living Water, The Vision and Heartfelt Worship, and The Vision and a Spiritual Harvest.

Pastor Goodnough is the Senior Pastor of Pittsford Community Church in Pittsford, NY, where he has been serving since 1985. Dana received ministry training from a variety of schools around the United States, and earned his doctorate decress from Dallas Theological Seminary. As an adjunct profession at Northeastern Seminary in Rochester, NY Dana has a passion for teaching and has used that passiona to teach around the world in places such as Russain, Saipan, Chad, Ukraine, and Brazil teaching. Dana and his wife Monica have been married for 35 years and have 3 adult children.

A variety of other missionaries will also present about their ministries, answer questions, and share how God is working around the world. These missionaries include Greg and Karen K.* (Muslim Field Coordinators with World Outreach), Greg M.* (serving in the Middle East with World Outreach), Paul and Reinhild Syndor (ministering in France through International Association for Refugees) and Zyris McCormick (serving Buffalo through Urban Christian Ministries). The unique ministry positions and backgrounds of these missionaries are sure to inspire you to find your sphere of influence to bring others to Christ!

Friday, November 3rd

7:00-7:30pm - Reception of Missionaries

Enjoy refreshmentss during an informal time to meet and greet some of the missionaries, gather more information & ask questions about their ministries.

Location: Waith Fellowship Hall

7:30-9:00pm - Session #1: Living Water

Pastor Dana Goodnough presents the first of the weekend's messages. The session will also include worship through music and prayer, as well as a testimony from another participating missionary.

Saturday, November 4th

9:00-10:30am - Continental Breakfast & Missionary Presentations

Hear some of the supported missionaries share how God is working through them to bring people around the world to Christ, all while enjoying coffee and breakfast refreshments.

6:00-7:00pm - Harvest Dinner

The entire congregation is invited to gather together for a delicious, homemade dinner & desserts. Reservations requested (see below).

Find out more about the missionaries during an informal time to browse table displays, meet the missionaries, gather more information & ask questions about their ministries.

7:30-9:00pm - Session #2: Heartfelt Worship

Pastor Dana Goodnough presents the second of the weekend's messages. The session will also include worship through contempoary music and prayer, as well as a testimony from another participating missionary. This session will take the place of November's contemporary Evening of Praise.

Sunday, November 5th

8:30-9:30am - Session #3: A Spiritual Harvest

Pastor Dana Goodnough will bring the third message in the weekend series during the sermon poriton of the weekly Traditional Worship Service. Regular service elements will also be included during this time. The same message will be shared during both morning services, allowing for two opportunities to catch session #3..

9:45-10:30am - Missionary Presentations @ Sunday School

Supported missionaries will present during Adult Education and Children's Sunday School classes.

Location: Waith Fellowship Hall (adults) & Various Sunday School Classrooms (children)

11:00am-12:15pm - Session #3: A Spiritual Harvest

Pastor Dana Goodnough will bring the third message in the weekend series during the sermon poriton of the weekly Contemporary Worship Service. Regular service elements will also be included during this time. The same message will be shared during both morning services, allowing for two opportunites to catch session #3.

12:15-1:00pm - Soup Sunday with Missionaries

Talk with the missionaries and get to know them better or socialize with others from the congregation during our monthly Soup Sunday luncheon. Choose from a delicious variety of homemade soups in Waith Fellowship Hall after Sunday morning services.

This event will be held at Lancaster Presbyterian Church. Sessions will take place in the Main Sanctuary with other parts of the conference in Waith Fellowship Hall and various Sunday School classrooms around the church.

Parking is available in one of the three church parking lots (see map) as well as along the residential streets around the church.

Harvest Dinner Reservations

The entire congregation is invited to sign up for the Harvest Dinner on Saturday evening. Sign up sheets will be located in the Upper Foyer and Waith Fellowship Hall until Sunday, October 29th. Please reserve your spot by this date so that the dinner coordinators can plan accordingly. You can also sign up by calling the church office at (716) 684-2277 or by e-mailing office@L-P-C.org.
